Sarah Scandrett

SARAH SCANDRETT, from Xalapa, Mexico, began her pre-professional ballet training at the age of 15 at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York. After two years there she had the opportunity to train under Edward Ellison at the Ellison Ballet Professional Training Program. During her four years there, she performed many challenging pas de deux, including The Sleeping Beauty, as well as an original piece, Ave María, created for her by Mr. Ellison. Sarah apprenticed at Alabama Ballet for two years under Tracey Alvey, where she was given the opportunity to dance Dulcinea in Don Quixote. Since joining First State Ballet Theatre in 2022, Sarah has had the pleasure of dancing a variety of roles, including excerpts of Kitri’s Friends variation from Don Quixote, Dracula’s Bride in Viktor Plotnikov’s Dracula, and The Dryad Queen in Don Quixote. Sarah is excited for her second season with FSBT.
