First State Ballet Theatre, Delaware’s professional ballet company, presents full length ballets and mixed-repertory programs throughout the state, commissions new choreography from internationally renowned choreographers, offers performing opportunities to aspiring dancers, and educates the Delaware dance audience of the future.

Headquartered in Wilmington's beautiful and historic Grand Opera House, First State Ballet Theatre performs under the artistic direction of Kirov-trained Pasha Kambalov.



FSBT 2018 Summer Intensive

June 25 - July 20, 2018

Join us this summer in our spacious studios in Wilmington's Grand Opera House! Our Summer Intensive gives students ages 9 and up a chance to develop their technique and artistry and further their dance education. Classes will include ballet, pointe, variations, contemporary, character, jazz, musical theatre, hip hop, conditioning, and more!* Summer Intensive students will present a performance on the last day of the program. 

FSBT Faculty including Artistic Director Pasha Kambalov, Executive Director Kristina Kambalov and School Director Joan Beatson will be joined by experienced and distinguished teachers including :

Luba Gulyaeva (formerly of the Kirov Ballet) - Ballet, Variations

Viktor Plotnikov (Choreographer and former Principal Dancer, Boston Ballet) - Ballet, Contemporary

Larissa Ponomarenko (Ballet Master and former Principal Dancer, Boston Ballet) - Ballet, Variations

Rie Aoki - Ballet, Variations

Clyde Evans, Jr. - Hip Hop

Sonny Leo -Jazz, Musical Theatre

July 2- July 20, 2018 (ages 9 and up)

10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - No Classes on July 4

Previous ballet training required.

Tuition:  Four-week session $1,300
                   Three-week session $1,050
                   $75 discount if registration and non-refundable deposit received by March 15, 2018

$100.00 non-refundable deposit due by May 1, 2018; balance due by June 1, 2018.
