FSBT Scholarship Program
FSBT Establishes Need-Based Scholarship Program for New Students
FSBT has established a scholarship
program which will begin in September 2007. The program
is open to beginning ballet students ages four through
12, who are not or have not been enrolled at FSBT.
Recipients will be chosen based on financial need and
preference will be given to residents of the City of
Wilmington.
The scholarship will provide one
year of ballet instruction, including an FSBT summer
program, and a ballet clothing and shoe allowance.
Parents or guardians must complete a financial aid
application and submit proof of income. Recipients who
wish to continue as scholarship students must reapply
each year.
Auditions for the 2007-2008 school
year will be held in FSBT’s studios on Saturday,
August 11 at noon; financial aid
application forms and registration and forms must be
postmarked not later than Wednesday, August 1.
Parent/guardians of selected
students must sign a contract ensuring that their child
will attend class regularly. Applicants who are not
selected will be placed on a waiting list. If selected
students fail to attend class regularly, their
scholarship will be transferred to the top applicant on
the waiting list.
Wilmington Structural Engineering
firm O’Donnell, Naccarato and MacIntosh has funded the
first 2007-2008 scholarship. FSBT has also invited major
banks to participate in the program.
